Sienna Miller knows being a good person means doing good - but that does not mean you cannot look good while doing it. The 31-year-old dressed to impress in order to get some of the world's biggest movers and shakers to take notice on Wednesday at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual meeting in New York. The three day meeting offers a chance for charities to illicit support and promote change.
With that in mind, as an ambassador for the International Medical Corps, the stunning star made sure people were paying attention in not one, but two, professional but stylish looks.
The Alfie actress first spoke on behalf of the organization at the conference about its commitment to providing medical support across the globe to countries during war and natural disasters. For the occasion, the mother of one - 14-month-old Marlowe - wore a pair of tight jeans, which she rolled up at the ankle, a white shirt under a black cardigan and a pair of cropped boots.
Later the star attended a reception to further draw attention to the organization and bought along her father Edwin.
For the cocktail event, The Factory Girl actress went for a bit more a relaxed look wearing an off the shoulder black with gold detail top that she tucked into a knee length skirt. As she took to the microphone it was clear the star was passionate about the organization's new programme, known as 'First Responders,' that will train families and health workers in Africa to better cope with recurring emergencies such as drought, food insecurity or seasonal flooding.
Prior to the conference the star told the media why First Responders is so important. Sienna said it was about being prepared and resilient. 'Resilience is the difference between children in an Ethiopian refugee camp dying of cholera because there is no clean water, rehydration salts or trained nurses – and those same children growing up healthy because the people in their community were educated and trained on proper sanitation and nutrition.'
The three-day conference that 'convenes global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges' kicked off on Tuesday and includes fellow big-name speakers Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, Bono, Bill Gates and President Barack Obama.
