На красную дорожку пришли сценарист и режиссер Брайан Хелгеленд, Джон Пирсон, продюсеры Тим Беван, Крис Кларк, актеры Пол Беттани, Эмили Браунинг, Тэрон Эджертон, Кристофер Экклстон и другие. Поддержать Харди пришла его беременная жена Шарлотта Райли, а так же любимец семьи пес по кличке Вуди, которого Том подобрал на дороге в Атланте в 2011 году. Для кого-то такой поступок был бы верхом эксцентричности, но не для Харди, ведь он уверяет всех, что его лучшие и единственные друзья - это собаки. Tom Hardy walked the red carpet of his new Kray twins biopic Legend with an unusual escort last night. Along with wife Charlotte Riley, Tom, 37, stroked, snuggled and hugged the other most important figure in his life - his dog Woody, a formerly homeless mix breed who found all eyes were on him, rather than the star, as he chased a pigeon in front of cameras. But while many may see bringing their pet to a showbiz event as an eccentric move, for Tom this is par for the course. The dog lover is rarely parted from his animals and is so devoted to his pooches that he would even bring them to his drama classes as a student in the late Nineties.
Now considered one of Hollywood's most talented performers, Tom has certainly had his ups and downs in the past. He battled an addiction to alcohol and crack cocaine in his 20s and divorced his first wife Sarah Ward in 1999. The star - who has an seven-year-old son from a previous relationship - went on to star in blockbusters including Inception, Mad Max and more recently, Legend, and is now happily married and expecting a child with actress Charlotte Riley.
But one constant however, has always been Tom's devotion to dogs; either his own, helping to rehome others or rescuing strays, literally, from the side of the road. Tom found Woody in 2011, while filming Lawless in Atlanta. He spotted a homeless dog running loose on the highway and sprang into action. The star caught the dog, naming him Woodstock (or Woody for short), and then brought him home to London.

It's a big night for actor Tom Hardy, whose wife Charlotte Riley, revealed her prominent pregnancy bump for the first time at the premiere of his new movie, Legend. The 33-year-old was pictured walking the blue carpet with her man at London's Leicester Square as she showed off her blossoming shape in a black lycra maxi dress. The couple have kept their big news under wraps until now, and are yet to comment on the pregnancy.

ИНТЕРВЬЮ ТОМА ХАРДИ ДЛЯ SHORTLIST

Брать интервью у Тома Харди – это не то же самое, что с остальными звездами. С момента, когда он заходит – один, в спортивного вида брюках, черной футболке и с электронной сигаретой в зубах – становится ясно, что этот человек не станет просто рекламировать свой фильм. Он очень милый (в конце интервью он даже меня обнял). И тем не менее, есть в его характере острые углы.
Я: Хотелось бы начать с банального вопроса…
Том: Смотрели ли вы фильм?
Я: Да…Я…
Том: Что ж, тогда это первый вопрос, а второй будет «Понравился ли он вам?»
Я говорю ему, что фильм мне очень понравился. Когда же подходит моя очередь задавать ему вопросы, я замечаю, что его ответы отличаются от заготовленных, отрепетированных монологов. Фразы его полны интересных мыслей, развернутые, а новые идеи формируются прямо на ходу. Даже когда время нашего разговора истекло, Том продолжал рассуждать о различии между британскими и американскими фильмами про гангстеров, о жизни, людях и прочих вещах (Том смеется «Прости, чувак, я могу болтать без умолку часами»). Сначала он будет говорить серьезно и откровенно о том риске, который взял на себя режиссер фильма, затем с насмешкой отзовется о его решении доверить Тому целых две роли.
Вообще, обычный голос Тома Харди не тот, который мы привыкли слышать с экрана. Даже знаменитый голос Бэйна из фильма о Бэтмене не является настоящим голосом Тома. А его и нельзя услышать: в фильме «Лок» слышится уэльский акцент, в «Общаке» -бруклинская протяжность, русский говор в «Номере44». Возможно, мы никогда не слышали настоящего голоса Тому лишь потому, что его не существует. Однажды он признался, что иногда он выбирает акцент и сам не знает, как он будет звучать, пока не заговорит. Сегодня его акцент больше напоминает лондонский говор парня с улицы.
Настоящий хамелеон.
Двойная игра
Том называет свою новую роль сложнейшей в техническом плане, ведь он играет не одного, а сразу двух персонажей. Очень громкая заявка.
Харди: «Очень часто случается так, что один актер берется сразу за двух героев, и выходит ерунда. Сразу «нет». Плохая идея».
Том посчитал это плохой идеей сразу после встречи режиссером и автором сценария. Брайан Хельгеленд хотел, чтобы Том сыграл Реджи (альфа-самец, гетеросексуал, прямолинейный). Том Харди не был бы Томом Харди, если бы после прочтения сценария не выбрал более сложного персонажа. «Я чувствовал себя Ронни. Сыграв Реджи, пришлось бы отдать Ронни другому актеру. На это я не мог пойти. В этом-то и веселье. Реджи такой консервативный. Мы могли бы найти другого актера на роль Ронни, и всё было бы превосходно».
Но режиссер уловил нотки неудовлетворения. В конце вечера прозвучала фраза: «Я дам тебе Рона, если ты дашь мне Реджи».
Так началась их авантюра по превращению рискованной, потенциально провальной идеи в нечто особенное.

ShortList meets the British actor who took on the Kray twins and won. Plus an exclusive image of the actor taken by the inimitable David Bailey.
Interviewing Tom Hardy is not like interviewing other film stars. From the moment he arrives – alone, dressed down in hiking trousers and black T-shirt, puffing away on a complex-looking digital e-cigarette – it is immediately clear this is not someone who will be exhibiting any kind of on-promotional-duties polish. He is very, very nice (I get a hug at the end of the interview), but there is unmistakably a wired edginess about him. When we sit down, it starts like this:
Me: I’m going to start with an obvious question, which is…
Hardy: Have you seen the film?
Me: Yes. I…
Hardy: Right, well that’s the first question, then. The second one is, “What did you think?”
I tell him I loved it, and why, and he is pleased (“That’s a f*cking result!”). When we move on to me asking him questions, his answers – again, in contrast to other film stars, with whom the game is to get them to veer slightly away from prepared, succinct monologues – are smart and eloquent, but long, drawn-out and enjoyably all over the place, veering off into tangents prompted by thoughts that have clearly just formulated. At the end of our allotted time, we are told to wind it up not once but twice, and even then he is still going, launching into theories about American versus British gangster films and life and humanity and such things (“Sorry man, I can talk for f*cking ever!” he laughs). He will be talking with a seriousness and sincerity (“All the risk was taken by [writer and director] Brian [Helgeland], to be fair…”), then will switch without warning into a piercing, mock-hysterical falsetto (“…letting me PLAY BOTH F*CKING ROLES, MAN!”).
In fact, briefly, while we’re on the subject of the way he speaks…
Tom Hardy’s normal speaking voice is not something we have been privy to onscreen. Since he delivered – whatever your opinion of it – the most imitated cinematic voice of the decade in The Dark Knight Rises, we haven’t come close. That thick Welsh accent in Locke, The Drop’s quiet Brooklyn drawl, the Russian twang in Child 44: we just never hear it. And this might be because it doesn’t exist. It’s five years ago, but if you watch his Jonathan Ross appearance in 2010, where he is very well spoken, he confesses he “sometimes picks up accents, and sometimes I don’t know how I’m going to sound until I start speaking”. If you then watch another video of a feature on GMTV, dated just a month previous, while addressing some young people from troubled backgrounds as part of his charity work with the Prince’s Trust, he is speaking to them in a south London street kid drawl. Today, in the flesh, he is about halfway between these two.
A natural-born chameleon.
