Ох уж, эти американцы. Из любого события они делают первоклассное шоу! 21 февраля в штате Флорида, в городе Дантон-бич состоялись автомобильные гонки "Daytona 500" сезон NASCAR Sprint Cup. На трибунах расположилось более ста тысяч зрителей, кто-то пришел всей семьей, кто-то принес раскладной стульчик и радиоприёмник, чтобы не пропустить ни единой детали гонки. По традиции первому заезду должен дать старт главный маршал гонки. В этом году им стал Джерард Батлер. И как тут не вспомнить Спарту и фильм "300" :) Именно на этом и была построена торжественная речь, вернее, громогласное объявление начала старта криком в микрофон: "Это Дайтон!" вместо "Гонщики! Запустите свои двигатели!" На пресс-конференции в Daytona International Speedway, перед началом гонок, шотландец представил всем приз, за который придется биться 40-ка мощным ревущим монстрам с 5,86-литровыми моторами на скорости 315 км/ч и выше. Им предстоит бок о бок промчаться к финишу 800-километровой гонки. Перед стартом Джерард пошел в люди, дал несколько интервью, а так же сообщил, что здесь присутствуют его мама, отчим, тетя и друзья. :) В одной из бесед он сказал: "Атмосфера здесь будоражит меня, но мама может быть даже более взволнована. "300" Actor Gerard Butler Yells "This Is Daytona!" Ahead of 2016 Daytona 500
Before shouting the traditional "Drivers, start your engines!" line ahead of the 2016 Daytona 500 on Sunday, actor Gerard Butler couldn't help but put a fun twist on his most iconic movie line.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Actor Gerard Butler said he is excited to be at Daytona International Speedway as grand marshal for Sunday’s Daytona 500 but added that his mother might be even more thrilled.
“The atmosphere here has blown me away,” Butler said Sunday morning. “I even have my mother and stepdad and my aunt and friends here. My mom came up and took my hand and said, ‘Gerard, this is so exciting!’ ”
Butler is scheduled to give the “Drivers, start your engines” command before the 500 green flag.
“I have something up my sleeve (for the command),” he said. “I think you might like it. Or not. We’ll see what happens where I get out there. I like to live in the moment.”
Asked which NASCAR driver he might like to portray on film, Butler said, “The most emotionally powerful story would be Dale Earnhardt Jr. What an incredible story. What an incredible family.” -usatoday.com
