Премьера нового фильма-катастрофы "Геошторм" (Geostorm) состоится на следующей неделе. Главную роль в этой очередной страшилке сыграл Джерард Батлер, его коллегой по фильму стал еще один британец Джим Стреджесс. Так как час Икс совсем близок, Батлера бросили на промо. 12 октября шотландец посетил сразу 3 шоу в Нью-Йорке: утром - "Good Morning America", потом - "Live with Kelly and Ryan" и уже вечером состоялась беседа на "Late Night with Seth Meyers". Келии Рипа, как самая настоящая девочка-девочка, спросила у Джерарда об его раскидистой бороде. На что он ей ответил, что вот такой вид он поддерживает для роли и ему приходится раз в 2 недели подстригать ее, чтобы быть в образе. А вообще его такой лохматый вид проходит 3 стадии: пещерный человек, обезьяна и Россомаха. У Сэта Мейерса Джерард рассказал, что в Шотландии он даже не претендует на звание звезды, там он малоизвестен или сами земляки делают вид, что не узнают, чтобы не зазнавался, о чем и рассказал веселую историю из его жизни. Later on in the morning, the 47-year-old Geostorm actor stopped by Live! with Kelly & Ryan to chat, and Kelly Ripa immediately asked him about his big scruffy beard. “Your face is very soft! It looks like a rough, rugged beard but it’s a soft beard,” Kelly said.”Do you feel very manly, with the beard?” Gerard then responded, “I had this beard for a character…but we’ve been waiting to do this additional photography for it… Every 2 weeks I’m trimming it to look like the character. [Now] I let it grow and I got caveman, then I got ape…the last one that I got was basically Wolverine! And I’m sticking with that. That’s a huge compliment!”

Gerard Butler might be a famous Hollywood actor, but that doesn’t mean much back at home! The 47-year-old Scottish actor visited Late Night With Seth Meyers to promote his new film Geostorm on Thursday night (October 12) in New York City. Seth asked Gerard if he was considered heroic back home in Scotland, and he revealed that his on-screen fame doesn’t exactly have the same effect in real life: “You can’t get away with much in Scotland,” he revealed. Gerard also told a funny story about a girl who kept looking at him at a bar when he was first getting famous. Eventually, she came over to him and said “You know, I know your face from the telly – but I’m not gonna tell you that ’cause it’s going to give you a big f–king head!”-
