Бен Аффлек станет новым Бэтменом

Кинокомпания Warner Bros. определилась с кандидатурой исполнителя роли Бэтмена в фильме "Человек из стали 2". Как сообщается в официальном пресс релизе, им станет Бен Аффлек.

"Бен будет прекрасным противовесом для Супермена Генри Кавилла. У него достаточно актерского таланта, чтобы сыграть героя, который старше и мудрее, чем Кларк Кент и обладает большим оптом борьбы с преступностью, но в то е время сохраняет шарм, который мир видит в миллиардере Брюсе Уэйне. Не могу дождаться возможности поработать с ним", - прокомментировал назначение режиссер Зак Снайдер.

Напомним, что Аффлек не новичок в супергероическом кино. Ранее он сыграл роль Сорвиголовы в одноименном фильме. Этот эксперимент не был особенно удачным.

"Человек из стали 2" будет выпущен в прокат 17 июля 2015 года.

When it comes to a character as old and popular as Batman, everybody has an opinion.  Following the announcement that a Batman/Superman movie was in the cards for Warner Bros., we knew there would be some debate over who the studio and director Zack Snyder should chose to don the cape and cowl for their Man of Steel follow-up.  Early word was that they were looking to cast an older, more experienced Batman opposite Henry Cavill’s young Superman, and names like Josh Brolin and Jon Hamm were bandied about.  However, when the studio announced last night that Ben Affleck has been cast in the role, the reaction was unsurprisingly vehement.

The internet specializes in snap judgments, and the casting of Affleck as Batman is no different.  But fan outcry and caps-lock rants are premature; people are already rating a performance that we won’t see on screen for nearly two years.  Hit the jump for more on why everybody needs to calm down.

dark-knight-rises-catwoman-anne-hathawayWith last night’s announcement of Affleck as Batman also came the official release date for Snyder’s as-yet-untitled superhero pic: July 17, 2015.  Until that date, we will not have a full idea of what Affleck’s Batman performance entails.  We can nitpick the costume in set photos and speculate as to whether this new Bruce Wayne will sport a hint of a Boston accent, but we’ll have to wait 693 days to know the arc of this new Batman.  This is a fact.  Christopher Nolan’s trilogy of Batman films came to a close with The Dark Knight Rises, so now it’s time for a new filmmaker and a new actor to step in with their own interpretation of the character.

Ben Affleck may be the next Batman, but there appears to be a decent sized portion of the internet that wasn't initially enthused about the news.

In the over 96,000 tweets sent in the first hour after the casting announcement was made, 71 percent of that talk was negative, according to social media analytics firm Fizziology. Only 15 percent of the quick takes were positive and 14 percent were deemed to be of mixed sentiment.

Ten percent of the negative conversation mention Affleck's previous turn as a superhero in 2004's Daredevil and 3 percent referenced the actor's infamous box-office bomb Gigli, Fizziology said. 

And, as many on Twitter have noticed, there were plenty of jokes about Affleck's co-star in Good Will Hunting being cast as Robin. "19 percent of the mixed chatter came from audiences making jokes about Matt Damon also being cast in the film," the analytics firm found. 

Batman fans who were taken aback by the decision have also, inevitably, launched a curt Change.org petition that urges Warner Bros. to "Remove Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the Superman/Batman movie." That petition has gathered more than 7,000 signatures since it was started. 

Zack Snyder, director of Man of Steel and the forthcoming Batman feature, had praised Affleck in a statement announcing the news: "He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne."

Петиция была размещена на сайте администрации США "We the People", созданном для приема обращений граждан. Именно здесь в свое время граждане обращались к Бараку Обаме с требованием построить Звезду Смерти.

Однако "антиафлековский" протест не успел набрать необходимого для официального рассмотрения количества голосов и был удален за нарушение нескольких правил проекта.

Напомним, что целый ряд других петиций, обращенных уже к руководству Warner Bros, подписали десятки тысяч поклонников Бэтмена.

Fans rained a torrent of criticism down upon the internet just minutes after Warner Bros. announced it had cast Ben Affleck as the next Batman in its upcoming Batman vs. Superman tentpole, with more than 30 petitions springing up on Change.com to remove the actor overnight.

With vitriol oddly reminiscent of the backlash to Heath Ledger’s casting as the Joker in 2008′s “The Dark Knight,” fans took to the web to condemn everything from Affleck’s star power to his acting chops.

“His acting skill is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he wont’ do the role justice,” said one anti-Affleck petition that drew 3,200 signatures. Another has over 6,000 signatures.

“He’s not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman.”

An online petition on the “We the People” section of the White House Petition system, which “allows all Americans to ask the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country,” requested to make it illegal for Ben Affleck to portray Batman (or any super hero) on film for the next 200 years.

But the White House blocked the petition and removed it from the site for being in violation of their terms of participation.

Бенедикт Камбербэтч отказался от участия в мистическом фильме "Багровый пик", который собирается снимать Гильермо Дель Торо. Об этом сообщает издание Variety.

Причина отставки британского актера не уточняется. О сюжете пока известно лишь, что он будет строиться вокруг героини, которая обнаруживает, что ее муж не тот, кем она его всегда считала. Ранее сам режиссер описывал свой проект, как классическую готическую историю, рассказанную на современный лад.

Ранее в проекте уже произошла смена исполнительницы главной роли: выбывшую из картины Эмму Стоун заменила Миа Васиковска. Финансирует картину студия Legendary Pictures. Премьера состоится в 2015 году.

The “Star Trek” actor had been attached to the Legendary Pictures project alongside Oscar-nominated Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and “Pacific Rim” star Charlie Hunnam but recently left the project for unknown reasons.

“Crimson Peak” is del Toro’s first directing vehicle after “Pacific Rim,” which has grossed over $300 million worldwide.

According to sources, Legendary and del Toro are looking for a replacement for Cumberbatch as “Crimson Peak” is scheduled to shoot in February.

Cumberbatch can next be seen in DreamWorks’ WikiLeaks drama “The Fifth Estate,” which premieres at the Toronto Film Festival next month.

Американские критики разгромили фильм "Орудия смерти: Город костей", являющийся экранизацией первого романа серии "Орудия смерти" Кассандры Клэр.
На момент написания данной заметки рейтинг картины на сайте RottenTomatoes достиг всего 19 процентов.

"Есть Дамблдор, есть Волан-де-Морт, есть волшебный МакГаффин, который должны разыскать наши герои, но в целом это - бездушная попытка воссоздать волшебство Поттера", - пишет критик издания Time Out New York Мэтт Пэтчес.

"Вначале фильм увлекателен и наполнен действием. Но вскоре все это обрушивается под грузом замысловатого сюжета, чрезмерным хронометражем и абсурдными диалогами", - вторит рецензент издания Time Out Анна Смит.

Напомним, что премьера картины состоится 22 августа 2013 года. В 2014 году выйдет продолжение.
