В пятницу 09 сентября прошла премьера фильма, где режиссером и актером выступил Юэн МакГрегор. Шотландец привез в Торонто на кинофестиваль (2016 Toronto International Film Festival) свою новую работу "Американская пастораль" (American Pastoral). По красной дорожке у кинотеатра Princess of Wales Theatre прошлись Дженнифер Коннелли, Дакота Фаннинг, Юэн МакГрегор, Узо Адуба и другие. In a 20-year career Ewan McGregor has established himself as one of cinema's most versatile actors, as at home in independent film as he is in big budget studio fare. His star-making turn in Dennis Potter's series Lipstick on Your Collar in the early '90s led to celebrated performances in Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, and Moulin Rouge as well as blockbuster success in the Star Wars prequels. For his feature directorial debut, McGregor tasked himself with not just directing an adaptation of Philip Roth's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel American Pastoral, but taking on the lead role too. McGregor discusses this ambitious debut, his career and his goals as a director.

Jennifer Connelly and Uzo Aduba hit all the right style notes at the premiere of American Pastoral during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival held at Princess of Wales Theatre on Friday night (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

The two stars of the film, joined their co-stars Ewan McGregor and Dakota Fanning, as well as Valorie Curry, Sam Underwood and Molly Parker.

Earlier in the day, Dakota , Jennifer, Ewan and Uzo stopped by the Variety and Shutterstock Portrait Studio; and after the premiere, the cast headed to the Vanity Fair, Lionsgate and Nordstrom celebration at CIBO.
