Молодая и активная команда фильма "Фантастические твари и где они обитают" (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) 08 ноября на частном самолете быстренько метнулась в соседнюю страну Канаду, где представила свой фильм. Эдди Редмэйн, Эзра Миллер, Кэтрин Ватерстон и Дэн Фоглер, а так же режиссер Дэвид Йейтс и продюсер Дэвид Хейман прошлись по красной дорожке перед кинотеатром, который к премьере в Торонто принял облик большого чемодана. Там же с утра была доступна для фанатов выставка реквизита из фильма. Устроители так же дарили "волшебные палочки" всем тем, кто пришел на показ фильма в костюме. Погода, конечно, была не сказочная, а ужасная, что впрочем не помешало почитателям Поттерианы прийти к кинотеатру задолго до начала и дожидаться, стоя под дождем, появления актеров на красной дорожке. Yonge-Dundas Square isn’t a bad place to start.
The bustling intersection was HQ for all things magical on Tuesday night as fans lined up in the rain to catch a glimpse of the stars of the new film from the imagination of J.K. Rowling. It opens Nov. 18.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is part of Harry Potter history, though only tangentially.
The script was inspired by a Hogwarts textbook, with the film taking place in New York City, circa 1926.
Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne plays the protagonist, and greeted screaming Toronto fans on the red carpet.
His character is Magizoologist Newt Scamander, who collects — and then loses — his magical beasts who are normally safeguarded in his leather briefcase.
He was the fan favourite on Tuesday, charming fans and reporters with his British accent and smooth answers about the latest offering.
He also smiled, took selfies and signed autographs for his fans as an assistant held an umbrella.
Other actors who graced the red carpet included Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller and Dan Fogler.
But no one really screamed their names.
Director David Yates was also at the Toronto event. J.K. Rowling, noticeably, was absent.
To celebrate the film, fans who come to check out the big, urban briefcase that has appeared in the heart of downtown Toronto will be treated to some magical insights into the movie.
Sets and props from the fantastic film are on display, and collectable wands will be given out to those who come in costume (while supplies last).
